The orange wheelie bar is so Ritchie sees it and doesn't trip over it, now as he's an older man.

Back on it over weekend, I wasn't happy with brakes, rear pads weren't staying on discs so creating a spongy feel on pedal on 1st push, not what you want in a car like this  Shocked so I added a 2psi residual valve in front of staging brake and then bled them again, this cured problem and now has a good firm pedal  Smiley
So onto wiring, I mounted dash/ecu and lambda controller in dash then started laying out wiring, measuring out where control boxes go and now I am slowly sorting through the mass of wires & getting correct wires to relevant place , once that is done I can fit ends and seal up loom. Sounds so simple like that Cheesy

Mmmm maybe, we will see Wink

Gauges were in dash already from before we decided to go with Fuel tech ECU/Dash also I like a mechanical gauge as backup just in case a sensor fails, always have go-pro aimed at them in cabrio just to be sure Smiley

cheers Richie

Big step forward today, I had finished up a bunch of small jobs after getting car back from Jim@cotsweld last week and finished up all the Fuel tech FT600 wiring and so it was time for 1st start up  Shocked Cool Grin ,

Car is now 99% done, so I will do some base some tuning and then it will be ready for testing at track Cool

Video of start up, I set it safe and rich to begin with and it started up straight away once I had everything talking to each other correctly

So, I know I'm a little early but sometimes its good to just say it.....

I want to publically say a massive thank you to Richie for his hard work and guidance with this project, yes its been easy for me to sit back and spend some money, however his efforts and the support of Jim at Cotsweld and Basti and a few more have made this possible.

I remember back about 1993 Volksworld did a pewter model of No Mercy and I always wanted that model, I was too late too order as I worked offshore and have looked for one for years, however when the chance to get the real think came up, it was like a dream...

So maybe this weekend will be the reality of it all... Sure hope so, Until then RICHIE thank you.

Yes I think its all good now, still some tuning needed as its super rich but that's not to much of a problem with methanol, I did a little test a week ago and it made 7lbs boost on spring only which will be our starting point and go from there with CO2 once Russell is happy with it.

Would you bring your car?
