Hi Fred,

The wheels absolutely look very beautiful on your car!  Are they adonised? Like original? If they are done as beautiful as yours they look apart from the norm and that is always nice.  The satine finish does match the color of your car very well.  Very nice choose of wheels, I'm a fan.  There is one Greenhart guy in the UK who has them also like you on his black 1967 callooker, also a very awesome car!!!

Philip, thank you very much for the kind words. Al Reed is responsible for doing (like they have been) an perfect job of anodizing these wheels. Ian C. had them done there, last year, I think. When I worked at Circle Porsche+Audi Ltd. in the mid '80s, Al Reed did our wheels, too. My tastes haven't changed much in the way of wheels... I didn't care for chrome or polish on 911 alloys and still feel that way, today. To me, this shows the beauty of the wheel in it's best light.

Do you have any pictures of that Greenhart black '67? I'd like to see that. Here in the States, the only anodized 911 wheels that we mostly see are on Porsches. Rarely ever seen on VWs.

Sarge, is that the same road that the DEEKS and a few Panzers cruised last year? if not, is sure looks like it.

No... this is on a gated dead-end road in in the southwest corner of Chino Hills and is probably a good place to stay away from.  The Aerojet Company made war time goodies many years ago and left the area an environmental wasteland; a shame as it's a beautiful place that would otherwise be studded with million dollar mansions.  A great road for a good up-hill bicycle grind though... well, except for the three cattle gates. Cool

Sarge, thanks for the clarification on the road. There's another one that I have access to, but only when I'm in my work truck. Shame, 'cause it's a fun private road located on the interior of San Clemente. Used to be an old aerospace/government site, too. Would love to take any three of my cars in there, but it's heavily regulated so it would never happen. Pity, due to the real nice wilderness, there.

Fabian, thanks... I do remember that car, now.

here my car with polished and anodized alloys. Alex detailed both sets of wheel for me. i never quite liked how the og caps looked with the anodizing. i sanded them back with a little to make tham look more like the wheels

I've been MIA lately..... Mark your 67 is BadASS!!! Awesome choice on the finish.

I'm about ready to send a set to Mr. Reed.
