That black '67 could be the best example of Cal Look VW ever built. If it was mine, the only thing I would do is put a 010 or a magneto in it. Cheers to the owner/builder- what a great car.

Those lookers are pure porn!! I think you are right Zach, the black is in a class of its own.... due to style... and not cash!! Even thou I imagine it has soaked up a fair bit of that to! Had it been in any other colour I would have painted the headlights to, but in black this is A++.

Painting the Sprintstars black on the gray one makes a bold statement, and I really like it!

A brilliant inspiration to all of us 67 owners of how neat, clean and tidy, but still monstrous a 67 can be!  Grin

Some cars are just worth more then their sum of parts- and that is definitely one of them.

The crank is a Flanged BugPack 84mm
5.6 H Beam CB rods
46x38 Comp Elims , Titanium retainers
CB 2298 cam ( FK89 )
Udo Becker Tool Steel followers
11 to 1 compression
Scat 1.4 to 1 Pro-Rockers ( 1.45 )
The carbs are IDA's ( of course ) with 45mm venturies
MSD ignition system
Rancho Pro-Drag gearbox ( 3.875 R&P , 1.26 4th gear )

The engine has been dry built , but I am waiting for the Udo Becker lifters ( coming soon )

When finished , I will run it on the rolling road , I am hoping to get 220-225 HP from it .
Simon has ERCO wheels with M&H's , so low 12's hopefully .

220+ hp is pretty neat! Are you using the CNC version as a base and add a little fluff`n buff? And which springs have you used?

Thank you for sharing, it`s always interesting to read about other people engines.
