Dave  I  want make  to  superchart
I'm not sure I understand.  What is a superchart?  Happy to provide it if I can.

"help to introduce"........... '62 low mile California car with a 1600 single port (Berg crank, nice heads and cam), Pepco Supercharger, Cyclone cast collector header and cherry bomb, old sump and other speed parts from the 60's.  American mags and an old sun tach.......

We just had a drag day here in Socal and I made two passes on it.  Not too fast but lots of fun.

What a great group of cars and enthusiasts here.  Feels like home.

Is that white car yours? I saw it at Drag Day... nice!

Thanks Rick.  I would have liked to meet you there.  I'll bet there are a few stories in that '67.............
I look forward to seeing your progress with the restoration/build.  This site will keep you motivated!
The quality and variety of cars is amazing.

that old '67 of yours, did it have beard seats, trimmed in tan leather & plaid centres, and an empi GT woodrim and oatmeal square weave carpets???

in an old Volksworld from around 10 years ago there were a couple of shots......i always regard that as one of the nicest interiors i've seen.  (apart from mine Wink)

I have owned this one since the late 80's couple paint jobs, different wheels and several different engines over the years.

It is registered as a 65 but it is a 66.  It must be a real early 66.  It has ball joints but no hazzards.  Back when I got it I bought the 5 spokes and put new tyres all the way around.  The guy at the store talked me out of the 205/70R15s.... said they would never fit and he had bugs before, no internet back then.  So I went with the smaller ones.  Cry  Oh well live and learn.  I know the the engine would like the 70R15s better with the 4.37.  I will get them someday.

Lucas shouldn't be to hard to find even in France. Go to places that restore british cars. They were used on several cars as turn signals tail lights etc. I know they were used on Austin Healys.

Hi guys,
Well I`ve stopped lurkng & joined up!
My name is Kevin & I`m another Aberdeen boy, been into dubs since I was 14 & that was a long time ago..!
This is one of my current projects which is a well known british car & the car that got me hooked on bugs, its the Colin Burnham / Street Machine project car from `85, also featured in Colins book `air cooled vw`s`.
I picked it up a year ago & I`m collecting bits for the resto back to dec `85 spec.
Cheers!

That/your car was a major inspiration to me when it first hit the scene Kevin. Guards Red! Cool It is without a doubt a piece of the UK's 80's history. Glad to see it surface again, what sort of condition is it in these days?

cheers
