Thanks! We're over the moon with it! We do have to say a massive thanks to Peter Englezos of Cogbox for building us a badass gearbox, as that wasn't in the feature

Thanks Udo! Another update! We picked up our parts shipment from our friend Spencer Tramm who bought them back in his suitcase for us!! Aeromotive fuel pump and regulator with carbon fibre pressure gauge! Expensive but soooooo nice! Painless fuse box to start our wiring from Master cut-off switch and billet switch handle, switch panel which mounts to the roll cage and will house switches for fuel pump, ignition and starter and a Intercomp tyre pressue gauge. The pressure gauge also glows in the dark so if we run at night we can see the dial! And the la pièce de résistance - Weld Aluma Star front wheels! 3.5" wide in Chevy pattern PCD. We ordered it all through Jegs.com and we are well impressed with the service! Definately recommend them to anyone! dude, how do you go on with import duty, vat etc when ordering from jegs in the states? cheers Lee

Another quick update, NGK spark plugs has signed up as a sponsor of the race car We've always used NGK plugs and we are so pleased they are supporting us! We've also signed up with Pit Posse motorsports who make some awesome trailer accessories and we'll be kitting out our new race rig! www.ngkntk.co.ukwww.pitposse.com

Steve Sound good. Could do with some of the trailer accessories for "workshop area" in the coach How does it work with a sponsor like NGK? Are they just supplying you with plugs or pay towards the entry fees etc. Frank

Well it's been a while so I thought i'd update it a little! It's been an awesome year with the car, a few awards, 2 runners up and a win, championship win, 3 magazine features and an amazing online feature so overall we're pretty happy Oh and Adele's PB dropped to 11.401 at 116mph and on another pass the MPH PB changed to 117mph I guess we didn't think we'd get hooked on going faster and faster so quickly so there are a few things we would have done differently had we known but at the end of the day we wouldn't of changed anything given the amount of fun we've had! We've had a few plans for this season but at the moment we're trying to think sensible and keep the costs down so we have upgraded to EFi power which will allow us more options for the future.. Richie Webb rebuilt/refreshed the engine replacing the usual but with a change of cam and lifters from the CB items to an Engle FK89 and Scat lifters. We then decided to convert from Carbs to EFi with a kit from the Über talented Marco Mansi. Marco was kind enough to come over to our house for a few days and install it for us.. The throttle bodies are single body Mikuni's taken from a Suzuki motorbike with custom connecting linkages, stock 440cc injectors, custom fuel rail and custom hand made velocity stacks. The ECU is an MS2 from Megasquirt which Marco has had great results with and complete faith so while there may be other systems on the market having one that you know and trust is always good! For the crank trigger I sent Marco my new pulley from JayCee which he then cut in half, laser cut the rear section for the timing marks (36 minus 1) then a steel insert added and finally bolted back together, alot of work but it sure looks nice! The actual trigger sensor is mounted on the case with a custom block as you can see in the photo below. The coil is a an MSD item and is located in the stock dizzy location by means of a machined piece of ally that slides into the dizzy location (with the drive removed) a plate then bolts to it and the coil is bolted to the plate. It makes for a really tidy set-up! The throttle linkage is a custom cable unit and works superbly, hard to explain so I'll get a picture of it and post it up! For fueling we had to change to an EFi pump so the old one was sold off and a new Aeromotive 700hp pump was fitted, the existing regulator was able to be utilised with just changing the pressure spring inside and a new pressure gauge. We have however since realised we need to change our fuel line into the pump for a bigger line as the pump draws so much fuel! So last week we managed to get the car to a local dyno so Marco could fully map it. We spent a day at home getting the basic map right first and then at the dyno it was the final tune. We made about 10 or so runs on the dyno having to cool the engine in between each run and on the last pull the motor made 196hp at the wheels which we are really pleased about. So we think the motor is making more power than last year Marco did a fantastic job on the EFi and we would wholeheartedly recommend this kit (and Marco!) if you are interested in going EFi. So this is the completed engine.. We should be out for the first race meet in April/May and we can't wait!
