Been putting in some late hours last week as I got my gearbox now. First thing to do is make it shift, due to the funny car cage I had to make a pivot to re align the rods.

It looks like it will work all I need now is the "forks" that attach to the gearbox.
I then started working on the Co2 launcher.
That's mostly done also.

finally I put my tires on the new rims.

Been a while since I updated my topic but that doesn't mean nothing happend. Wink

I've been converting the car to Efi which took me longer then I thought but it's almost done now.

Then I placed a set of Geers front brakes

i Put in a sump heater

Made an intake to draw cold air to the turbo

Still need to finish the window but the general idea works for me

I built my own dry sump tank and hope I did it right.

Finally the intake is all welded and we are now in the process of making the fuel rails.

I decided to fit 8 injector 4 x 1210 cc and 4 x 2200 cc.

Thank you for your update Michael. Looking really good. I hope you do not mind me asking but are you going to run on methanol since you are going to use 8 injectors?

Found some more pictures.
I fitted egt's to all 4 exhaust ports.

O and I decided to get an mot on the car so to make it street legal Grin

Also have snow flake rear lights for the back so should be fun
Today I'm figuring out how to operate 2 buttons on the steering wheel, one for the chute and the other for the launch control

Slowly making progress,
started to put all the fluids in. Got a vacuum leader but the brake system seams to be too complex and I need to do it all style with some help from a friend.

Got one door in and finished and need to go on with the other one but want to do the really important things first. The things that will make it a driver.

Almost done with the scoop, window fits now how I want it so need to make a final one and attach the scoop to it.

Made the rear window removable to gain easy acces to the throttle body.

I've seen your car twice recently and took a good while to take in all the details.

First time was at Cotsweld when I dropped my car off and the second was at Drag Day, and I must say I'm lovin it !!

Much more to do before it's running/racing ?

Thanks

No not really just a lot of odds and ends,
Trying to find time to pull the engine out next week and service it, then it's cleaning all tanks and lines and put a map in the ecu and see if it will fire,

After a few days at the track at SCC and helping Richie and now with Kalle in his cabin the much needed motivation is back.  Been talking bout what to do with the engine so once I'm back home from holiday I will get my ass in gear and order the parts and get it done in order to fire up the engine and finally go racing next year. Wink

Actually it ran at DDD in 2011 Smiley

No the car won't be at DDD cause I've got to have  a set of Pistons made first.  The engine is apart now and almost everything looks perfect except it could use new piston rings.  Since the Pistons are old(20 years) and look like it's better to retire them I'm replacing them with something more modern.
