My buddy Mychatype3 is helping me get the tiki fnished before the show season.

He is finnishing the front beam.

I am working on the rear of the car.The brakes are coming together all I need is the calipers but they are ready to be picked up as soon as money allows.

I finnaly got a phonecall today that the engine case and the heads are ready. Now all I need to do is make time to pick it up. Cry

Work started on the engine.I was going to put the turbo on my old 2.4 typ 4 but to do it properly I had to open the case so I thought why not take a new case.
Now I don't have the holes from the porschefan as I don't want to use that.
It is a fresh case that hasn't been overhauled before.

I got it opened up for 103 mm cilinders and alignedbored.
Also I got it rebushed for typ 1 lifters instead of the typ 4 lifters.

The case also got pins on the middle bearing to prevent it from flexing.

There is still a lot to do before the case and heads are ready but hopefully it will all be ready before BUG-IN3.

The case has to be cleared for the crank and a custom cam has to be made to clear the rods.

The case also got pins on the middle bearing to prevent it from flexing.

Why only two pins in the middle and not six in total, at al bearings like "wally's" turbo case?

@Mycha the one bearing wearing the most from flexing is the middle the rest is strong enough Wink

The frontbeam got finished tonight all that is needed no is to fit the dropped spindles.

I started sanding the body so I can start painting the car next week.

I decided to paint the car myself in a suede color as I don't have the funds for a proper paintjob right now.(really want a paintbox paintjob Grin)
