Nice to hear from you again Mike.  You should visit here often!

thanks Don, I'm not looking for another car hobby, but there is a cool bug I've known about since the mid 80s in San Diego, just a phone call and I'm off the deep end again...
The 80's every late model bug was red and they all had gold 8 spokes, they were overplayed like stairway to heaven. Wink
Those ruby red bugs are sweet.
Have fun,
Mike

The first one that came on my mind is certainly my buddy Kurt Van Perre's 1967 Ruby Red Standard Ragtop

But also this lovely 1967 on those American Racing mags...

And who remembers Yves 1968 with a whoping 2,4 type 1 engine and mega burn outs on Spa-Francorchamps at least 5 years ago...

In case you didn't notice it allready Ruby red is my favorite VW red!

I remember when you took that photo of Sarge's car. You've gotten much taller since then.

How about this factory red Cal-Look car in the making?

A set of spindles, wheels and tires, and a big engine and you're done.

Thank goodness for you, Johnathan.

Bruce, you're right... wheels and an engine = Cal Look.
