Hi. I run a WEB 277,Great cam with plenty of POWER I have 3mm clearence between lifter and case(guide) Here´s a pic of my cam failure Type 4 rules [/move]

Patte Thanks for the info and picture do you think 3mm is necessary between the lifter and case or was it just what you have ? I thought a 277 was a lot of cam in a N/A engine but you have it in a turbo engine thats "crazy"

well well one more try and so far no problems with cam and/or lifter the engine has now run in about one hour

Yes thats was 2 very good days friday 276hk at the dyno saturday 11,16 on the strip Thanks to everybody who has a finger in the projekt and a special thanks to Griebel who has being a big help in the projekt from start to finish

Well well the race seson is over and so is the clutch ploblems (hope so) I have now install a stage 2 and so far no problems And maybe these will give me a 10sek ET just bought them from Frallan

I think you don't need 3 mm clearance from cam lobe to lifter . Are you shure the lobe did not hit the rod ? Or you had not enough spring pressure and the valves float ? I never saw a broken Type 4 cam from US , only german Schleicher .

Yes yes the engine is still ok the picture was taking after the first run at SCC so its a bit old I bought a new stage1 there and made some more run but it was slipping and after a test race more here in Denmark I bought a stage2 and have made som run with that and it seems to be okay and ready to next years race

Hi Yes I am sure it did not hit the rod I bought the new cam and lifter from web cam and it have run and working fine since (so far) spring pressure install 150 max lift 410 John
