is that the beetle from the farmtruck guys from street outlaws on discovery?
i'm wondering if it will get in to the show.

henk!!!

That is indeed the farmtruck team member AZN bug and it has been on the show already. After sorting some issues they street raced several cars including a new Nissan and Porsche and won all races. It is my favourite tv show and about the only show I watch.

BB

It's the kind of show that you watch with the volume turned down, because the dialogue is God awful.  Horrible programming, IMO.  Monster Garage with the all-star crew of VW guys like Clyde Berg, Jack Sacchette, etc, was FAR better than this show.

I do not agree. As a car nerd I would like to see more details from the engine building and also more dyno time where they tune on nitrous and now also twin turbos. They talk shit just like you will hear on just about every car meet you attend but that is ok.

We prep our cars for the street, they prep the street for their cars

The last episode was the one where the fastest guys from Drag Week visited. They did not have a chance on the street against the Oklahoma guys.

ITS ALL MADE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Wink Smiley

Funny how the Cameras/lighting rigs/microphones etc etc are ALWAYS in exactly the right place.......

IN MY OPINION: All these "Car Shows" are ruining the "Scene" for us REAL petrol heads.....

Suddenly EVERYONE is "Into" cars  Roll Eyes Smiley

Hehe I don't think you are off on this one Lee :-)
You don't get to race as one of the top players i drag week without knowing how to build and race a car.
So to show up at a street then and launch at 9000 rpm thinking you will actually have grip, should tell us all that his is a SHOW and not a documentary on street racing :-)
It sure is entertaining though, but in the end, it is just entertainment...

Got it from a dude on Thesamba who had a set of 5...
This was the 'spare'......it has a small crack, but apart from that its perfect!
I don't think it's ever been polished, all the edges & rim etc are so sharp & crisp
Compared to the other one I have.... Grin

So which one of you did I buy this off of?

A Hurst Airheart ignition like this. Won't be getting used as it's for points distributor. Thinking of dummy mounting it on my brothers gassers firewall or gutting it and putting a pertronix rev limiter in it, might just keep it with my other goodies on the "wall of speed".

Seen an advert from 1974 for one so it's pretty old!  Grin

The sellers username gave the game away, I knew he'd be on the lounge.  Grin

Was only £15 for a cool looking ganip ganap anyways. I'm a sucker for old hurst parts.

Beats paying what this guy is asking!

Yesterday I got the right doorhandle for a 67`Standard Beetle.
Now the set is complete.
I was lucky to find the doorhandle for the driverside NOS with original key and box earlier this year  Grin

Last week I got a VDO Jet Cockpit gauge for Oil pressure with box and senser.
Seems to be in pretty good condition.
(I`m thinking about selling it, cause I havn`t got other gauges from this series)

Wow. That's sumpin' else. It's pretty easy to see why you're so pumped up. I've scavenged for years but I'm not quite at the stage where I can justify one.

I do weddings and Bar Mitzvas too.

Seriously, that's a nice piece of hardware. Pauter? Three stage?

Yeah I am pretty pleased  Grin

It's a Pauter 4 stage. It's got a collector/manifold fitted in the pic that's why there is only 2 ports.
Don't get me wrong, it wasn't cheap but after a few messages from Jyrki, I was convinced it was worth it.

Plus I got these super super cheap at a swapmeet at the weekend to use with the pump.
All genuine Goodridge and all hardly used.
[ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ]
[ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Short ones are AN12, the longer are AN10 and the last one is AN16
The seller had more for sale at home as his race car/team is sponsored by Goodridge
and he has upgraded to Teflon hoses so these fittings were going spare/cheap (I'll be getting more  Wink )
