Holy thread revival, Batman!
Just been looking at the photos on Eurodragster from Friday's RWYB attention Pod and saw a certain white 67 with lots of carbon bits with the front wheels so high up in the air! Didn't look to be a naturally aspirated exhaust any more...
Just looked that photo up!

Update time finally
Rob hogg this update is done partly due to you, your new thread motivated me to do it
A while ago I did a deal on the engine and gearbox from this, complete with the nitrous set up so now needed something to fill the hole!!!
But it still had to be done as cheaply as I could, and similarly to the 1st incarnation trying to use other peoples rejected/used/worn out junk via swapmeets and for sale pages go again along with stuff that has been left or replaced with upgrades from my own projects.
I had most of a run of the mill 2332 that had been used in Old cabrio at one time so that was the basis for the engine, and a internet deal for a well built bus box all way from New zealand gave me 2 big pieces of the puzzle:)
Next was to make it fit the car, and the real work could begin, time to join some tubes to put the turbo where i wanted[ contrary to some internet experts opinions
there are no off the shelf parts used on the exhaust or intake side

Great to see that car evolve
But, will this still be a 10 sec street car or a 9 second street car now?

I think it would be a waste of time and money if it didn't go quicker

Putting turbo where i wanted it made it all very tight to fit in, never had to notch a wastegate pipe to clear a shock before!!!

Nice to see upgrades!
Be wary of the light colour turbo-67 curse

Where are you allowed to have oil in the driver's compartment?
Thought it was a big no no for any liquids that can burn or be hot there
It's barely but could have a liquid filled battery in there

With all the extra weight from the bus box, ally engine case, dry sump set up etc I needed to lose some from other places so it got some lightweight panels fitted

With the plan to convert car to hydraulic clutch I made some adjustments to the gearbox clutch arm and a new front mount to replace bowden tube bracket

Should have gone with the boat anchor gearbox
Hopefully the curse is now gone

More like you should have gone IRS whichever gearbox you use
Its not like there is a really quick car relatively local to you that uses mostly stock IRS parts to help you realise its the way forward

I think you are enjoying that part to much
I am still way behind on were car actually is today, just looking back for pics so i can add to the updates
Some of this was during covid which added to the need to use whatever i had already, for a while i worked around the unknown brand used 911 fan shroud.

It looks like you ended up removing the package tray on this one. Did you end up boxing up to the rear window more or less? I'd love to do a similar setup to my 60 one of these days. I'm excited to see this build continue to mature!

I just clearanced it enough for turbo to fit up high enough and for air filter hose to turbo, then ally panelled over that, finally made a carbon rear seat to cover it all
