Finally received a package from the old US of A Grin.
It is the stroud safety dragchute.



I don't know if i will need it allready this season but I thought it is better to buy and mount one while I am working on the car rather then when it is all finished.

Sorry to put a spanner it the works Michael , but I thought they painted the inside's of old gassers back to limit glare from the sun which could put you off your concentration on the strip ahead and your gauges .
Surely if you paint the dash anything other than black it would be at odds with the whole point of a black interior  Huh. Just my 2 cents  Roll Eyes

I apply it with a roller as it is a suede finish.
