Anyone get pictures of Doug Mische's old GHIA at the Classic? Did they get it done with motor and all?

Yes Rick it was there and at the DKP meet at Nicks, Ill post pictures over the next few days.....

However a massive thank you to Richie Webb and Jo Clifford for all their help and running about in order to make it happen, in one week they achevied the following.

New Engine Build and install
Gearbox overhaul and repair
New Interior made and installed
new brakes and upgrade to porsche pattern
Fuchs were refurbished within the week
full body mop and polish

A Job well done.  Grin

I would also like to thank the vendors that helped with this Mike at Rancho, Westminsters Interiors, VWGG USA and all others, (richie will update list when he has time)

The car was stunning when completed on Thursday and as i was so proud to drive it to the crusie night at Nicks after driving to Lenny Copp and Roger Crawfords (headsup performance) open days.

Those are great photos - with the colour of them it's difficult to tell when they were taken! Smiley

What's more interesting is the double cab in front. That is the old Race Shop bus, once owned by Darrell Vittone! All it needs is the correct McPeak/Molly paint job.....

Dean, not that I don't believe you... but how can you tell that's Darrell's old Type 2 crew cab? You've got an awesome eye! It appears to have re-registered Cali plates, so HOW?

 Huh

Dean has secret spy's that see all and know all. The plate is off another 68 bus. It was at Nick's and the right door was sanded down so one could see the old paint job underneath.

Cool! So... who owns that Bus, now? I agree with Dean; it needs the correct McPeak/Molly paint.

It most certainly and probably IS. But it's not, if I don't know who owns it.

But, wouldn't it be cooler than cool to sand the white off the top all over and unearth the old paint rather than having it all repainted - it'd be a shame to have it look like a replica.

I give up. I have no idea who owns that car. I don't keep up with who owns what. Especially Fiats and old race cars. Oh well. I just thought it was cool that Dean recognized some Vittone history. Carry on.
