This is fjord blue. Confirmed and skanned from inside of the glovebox lid. Light makes pictures everytime different. Without flash it looks grey and with flash almost gulf blue. Maybe later I will get change to make sunshine daylight photos, but it is not possible nowdays here in Finland |

And finally we had weddings today :-)  Some issues with a rear support bar, but it looks good to continue assembly now and get this ready for next summer |

I have done some electrics and steering is ready. Some modifications should be done behind as air filters are quite a challange to hide under hood. There seems to be sand systems from CB & separed cone filters and low profile filters and also I know a talented alloy smith who can do what ever is needed.    |

Test fitted front wings and it seems that I can use 5,5" rim with some nice modern tyre. The profile depends how low is good to go - maybe 175/65 or 185/60? Rear tyres will be 195/65-15.   Handling should be my priority but with a classic rake - so feel free to recommend good tyres and warn bad ones. |

That wheel is very flush with the fender, a 175/65 will fit the 5.5" wheel very well, but it will slightly bulge out of the fender, and you will have some fender contact if you have call look rake. You will need either more backspace or a narrowed beam...

aussie - The cooler is 210x194mm from Setrab. Fan is 8". Brackets I did myself - as you may have seen...

Interesting connections under the left rear wing...  Just wondering, is the oil coming out on the right or on the left from that Mocal adapter with a thermostat to cooler. It should go first to the cooler and then pass the e-switch of the fan. Still easy to chance if somebody tell me how those outlets and inlets should be Most of electrics are ready, but MSD + other fuel systems will be known when engine is ready to start. We had to shorten about one inch those bigbeef manifolds to get the engine lid closed and it is still very close with CB air filters.  Today I met the long time waited upholstery pro and the interior with new seat cloth will be done during May, but still better to think that this beauty hardly runs before August this year - or next... |

Something going on every day. Electrics here are ready - but now the refurbished cover will hide all that hard work   185/65x15 front and 195/65x15 Firestones ordered. This was a test tyre and it fits so nicely, tho that look is a bit rally  Rear LED lights with US connections seems to work! Amazing result for this complete amateur  Now it's a good flow to continue interior and doors! |

Boss, the glovebox is original but I wanted to paint it to get away many stains. Now it looks a bit plastic but it will be hidden behind the cover.
New tyres will arrive on tuesday but first rides are still far away. Now I found some issues with as starter...

Interior and glasses, that's it! Not far from the registration and back to roads, but it might still take some time as the headliner was wrong colour. Even the box from WW was marked as light grey, but there was a nice set of beige linings. I'm testing moldings and those original ones are a bit too wide - but maybe my eyes get to seeing that.  |

It was the first time outside and how innocent it looks! Just like I wanted - grandpa is propably going to buy some milk with his old beetle... But as you can see, there is something wrong with the colour of the door  This might mean new paint and why this happened for an experienced (and expensive!) paintshop pro, I can just wonder. This is a risk if you paint all parts of the body separately. Anyway this is going back to painter for polishing and the we will have a discussion  |
