Looking REALLY good! Interesting to see that I`m not the only one going from junk IDA carbs to EFI.

From what I have seen so far i'm loving EFi! The motor sounds awesome and rev's so much more freely from idle all the way up to redline with no hesitation. Being able to datalog is also very cool and Adele is really geeking out on that!

And where is the nitrous kit? I guess you should be able to make a really clean NOS install with the Efi since you can get away with a dry system.

No other real changes to the engine other than all the cooling has gone as you can see, the fuel will be the same, VP C12 leaded fuel although for the dyno runs we ran it up on Sunoco 109 unleaded so as we didn't damage the guys lambda sensor!
We are not going to go nitrous at the moment, although that was the reason initially for going EFI. If we can afford it we'd like to go with some new heads like the CB's Strip Dominator and try for a 10 Normally Aspirated as it's still 'my thing' !
The main logs at the moment are AFR, RPM, Throttle Position, Oil Temp, Air Temp and Fuel Pressure, there are more things we can monitor but there the main ones at the mo..

Thanks Kalle, very chufted with it! We suspected it was making more power than previously and it just runs so much smoother too! Really pleased we've converted to EFI! The track was quite marginal too so it will be nice to run it on a race prepped track (Altough to be honest I said I'd be over the moon if it went 11.2 anytime so I'm really happy!)

I thought it was about time to update this thread. We had a mixed season with the car, the engine performed faultlessly but it was hit and miss with the rear suspension and tyre pressure settings which was frustrating but we did manage a PB of 11.23 and i think there was a little more in it too. Unfortunately at the end of August after a very successful trip to SCC we were back in the UK racing and Adele crashed at over 100mph due to track related issues The car took a hard left turn at about 1000ft spinning backwards into the armco. Adele was unhurt in the accident but obviously the car sustained some damage. After assessing the damage it really isn't bad with the car body. The rear fenders and valance were destroyed and engine and 'box cases are dead but everything still turns over so hopefully most of the internals are ok. There is very little needed bodywork wise so we have turned it into a positive and started to implement the next step with the car! The rear luggage area is being cut away and tinned, the rear end is now going to be narrowed with custom A Arms built to give us more adjustability and suspension movement. It will also allow us to stuff a 8.5" slick under stock fenders! As some of you know we made a last minute decision to fly out to So-Cal to visit our friends and go to the Vegas bugorama! We had a great week or so chilling out and ordering parts! We have decided to go with a hydraulic pedal set-up so ordered a nice Jamar set-up custom made for us and a Jamar staging to brake to match! (Replacing the CNC one we had) We also bought some new rear wheels as our Erco's were damaged beyond repair, we decided on some Billet Specialties Street Lite 15x8". There a nice looking wheel which is SFi rated and half the price of the Weld or American Racing we were going to buy! We are also upgrading to a bus box and so I started on the 930 CV set-up buying the stub axles to start mock-up. (Thanks to Beanie from Vee Dub parts for these and the Jamar parts) So that's where we are at the moment. We'll be working hard to get it rebuilt so I guess I'll be updating this thread more often!!

What size were you running before? If you can go for the CV joint with the chromoly cage and if your feeling 'flush' go with the race lightened ones to reduce the rotating weight. Although I always swore I wouldn't use any Empi parts the stub axles and CV joints are really good

Its actually exciting again, the thought of it being back to the 'project/rebuild' stage, new parts, new ideas, More saving, bigger engine As much as i would of preferred not to crash of course its most certainly the right direction for us to be going
