No headlights for now cause the poly will not get soft enough. My oven is not up to the job so I am trying other options.

Started with the exhaust today.
Got my spare engine case and a set of borrowed heads.Together with some plastic pipes as spacers I made a mock up of the witht of the engine.
I put the wheelybars on to make sure they still fit when the exhaust is on and found out they where in the way for my first plan.I wanted the exhaust to go up on the tranny side but this is way too much work so I decided to go up on the conventional way.

One side is tacked and the other side is planned for tuesday.

And number 4,

Now if I only had a collector Tongue
Hopefully it is on the way to europe, it doesn't look very promising as it appears I found another company that isn't doing what they are supposed to when you order something Angry Huh

As may have noticed progress has been really slow last months. There is a good reason for that.
I have som other priorities:Making a babyroom Grin Grin
It took a lot of time and effort but now my wife is finally pregnant.

I'll continue working on the car in a few weeks when all my duties are done and I worked all the lists my wife made Wink

BUT back to the car;
Robert Jongen got me the parts to redo my steering set up.
It is all mocked up ready for welding.I have some spacers made which are ready by the end of the week so the uniballs can move without hitting the spindles.

I also got a package from Simon from the paintbox

Hey Tiki daddy,

Good to see you working on the car again. Cool
Isn't better to place the rod that comes from the steeringbox on the underside of the spindle, this why the long rod is horizontal.

Cheers Paul.

Yes I thought about that but the rod is rubbing the framehead if i do so Wink.
John is making a 20mm spacer to go between the two uniballs.

I think the baby will win ;)The date my wife is expecting is 21st of juli.

Little progress,
I had the cncwizzard make some spacers to mount the steeringarms to the spindels.

Fitted the lot and it seems to work well. The steering is lighter then I expected.
I need to get some high grade bolts this week to fasten the rods and the steering is finished.
