@Kobus I'm still thinking about it,on one side it will add a lot of strength but on the other side there is the weight issue.I was thinking of adding a tubular structure from the bottom fenderbolts to the front axle.In case of an accident(hope that never happens)it wil get destroyd any way. I think I keep withthe subtle tubular structure. I have to wait until thursday before I can continue michael Believe me,weight over the front end is good It could actually save you from that accident Car looks good,cheers richie,uk

had some free hours this morning so I went to the garage to do some work.Started on the frontend but I didn't have enough roundbar so I have to finish that tomorrow. I'll be making a cross between the 2 struts to make it rigid. Also I fitted the stuff that belongs to the dashboard to see how it's going to look once it's ready and I can say I'm pleased with the way it looks. michael

After all the eating there is time to work on my project again Made the front of the cage today.This will add some strenght to the car as well as protection. Also I had to make a new bracket for the steeringdamper. I will finish welding when the body and floorpan are seperated again(hopefully for the last time before paint). michae;

Tonight I had the time to mount my new fuelcell and to make a mount for the pump. I also made a point where I can put the cable on when I have to tow the car.This bracket sticks through the front window so I don't have to go on my knees to fasten the cable michael

managed to get some free hours during the last few days(late hours). I made up my mind and decided to loose the innerfenders front and rear and the luggage area and the pieces under the bonnet. At first I wasn't sure about the cutting but as I took a good look at the car I found that it was never going to be a showwinning body. That's because the car has been repaired after a serious accident somewhere in the 60s.There are seams along the entire car from the rear left hand side to the front right hand side.it has been done to a very high standard but by cutting up the body I have lost most of the seams. michael Very Nice Michael, serious work, keep it going

Nothing much to show right now,I have started to build the pipes between the turbo and the intake. I did some thinking lately and decided not to keep working like an idiot to try and finish the car before the start of the season.There is just to much work to do to get everything prepped for painting paint and assemble it and to rebuild the entire engine. So now I am thinking of painting only the inside and leave the outside to some pros (hopefully if funds allow english pros ) If all goes like planned there will be a glassfibre gasserstyle bonnet waiting for me at the volksworldshow. Think I'll go back to the garage for now. michael @ Russel :sorry but it will look like a project this season(primer)

After being sick for a few weeks I had the energy to go and work on the car again hopefully Ï'm staying out of the hospital now. So here goes, I've been working on the engine because I wasn't pleased the way some repairs on the body were done.I now found some replacement sheetmetal in the UK and I wil pick it up at vowo show.So no updates on the car for now. I did however work on the engine I made everything of stainless steel and I will have it welded when all fits well. michael

My bonnet will be ready for pick up at the end of the month but without the gaugepod I wanted so I made one myself which will be grafted in the bonnet once I have it. I began with roof insulation and fabbed the scoop which I covered with polyester. michael

Took the car outside today for the first time I think the stance is ok as the rear will drop just a little more when the suspension is all set. Hopefully I have my bonnet and the rest of the stuff I ordered next week at vowo show. michael

Did you raise the trans? Looks like you already have some negative camber there, if you havent raised it I think you should consider it. Keep the tires flat for a good launch... Looking good

@Zach thanks for the comment,yes I did raise the trans by about 4 inches.If my measurements are correct the car should have some positive camber when it is finished. I haven't put all of the bolts that hold the suspension in.And I haven't aligned the car because I will disassemble the car in a few months to get the undecarriage painted.

I don't know jet. I first need to see where the carb is going to sit as I don't have the turbo I want to use.I'm going to pick up the turbo this june at cb performance when I 'm in the states. It's going to be bigger then the one I'm using as a mock up Let me know when you are coming over to tilburg and I make sure i'll be there.Are you going to the vowo show next week? michael
