Yes I did miss it, I was in phoenix at my daughters volleyball tournament, where I got food poisoning and spent the weekend doing 180's on the toilet. Now that's what I call a GOOD TIME!!! Now ask yourselves, who missed out on what?? But in other news, I did find a VW only wrecking yard, lots of type 3 stuff, some bugs that i could see thru the fence  |

What a treasure hunt it was in Ricks attic today. I am still COVERED in dust. There were some amazing finds. Everything has been up there 25+ years. Did I already mention dust? That Hurst box is probably worth more than the damn shifter now. 42 DCNF's, Truehaft kadron manifolds, 356 horn, 2 piece 8 spokes in the box, heads, bumpers, a bitchen never used Berg merged dual can exhaust with tape still on the chrome tip....wow. Vintage 70's skateboards... I could go on and on. Boxes and boxes and boxes... I heard when I left and Rick started going through everything a few more surprises were found. We STILL have'nt found his motor Ha! Found some color matched tin..... Oh and theres a pretty cool Notchback thats been under wraps just as long. The cloth cover had not been removed in 25 years. Cool to see and would be another great project. Jealous.

NOS but cut to match my heads Kadron SP Manifolds 2 original DKK Tank Turret club stickers which predate the Vince Ito club stickers that everyone knows. DKK "No Name but The Game's the Same" Dash plaques Auto Haus Orange Stickers I <heart> My VW Johnny's Speed and Chrome 15" Dan Gurney wheel NOS 68-72 Rear Bumper (snapped up by Worm ) Some VDO Cockpit Gauges Autometer 3" Tach A button from a Roadster show at Scooters... which became Dairy Queen... which became Nicks. most of a 36hp motor I bought because I wanted the fan housing... if anyone wants what's left and can arrange to pick it up, PM me and its yours! Some vintage Skateboards. NOS Steering Column Lock with lock cylinder, keys and electrics 3 of the original fenders for my car... I think the 4th might still be on the car. Empi Camber Compensator Empi Bumper Guards Empi insignia... I'll have to post a pic and get our Empi gurus to tell me exactly what it's for. Looks like there was 2 in the package and there's only one left. Octavio's has done a great job on the repairs. They chose to use the original spare tire well so I'll have that NOS one up for sale soon. Now that he has the fenders, the car should be ready to come home this week! Hey Mark... you didn't post that "special" picture for Bob! EDIT: I see it made the "Cool Pics" thread! |
