My old late model doing what it was built for;

Came 3rd behind a Porsche 964 RS4 and a 1303 with a Subaru engine. My car have a modest 112hp 1915 engine. Pure fun!

BeetleBug,

Could you share the make/model/whidth/backspacing and what make those wheels are you run on that brilliant looking -03 of yours?

Cheers!

Thanks! And of course I can:

Front 7 x 15 with Graku 4x130 Rennsport Magnesium center with Schmidt 15" Innerbarrel 3,5x15 and Schmidt outer Lip 3,5x15"
Rear 8 x 15 with Graku 4x130 Rennsport Magnesium center with Schmidt 15" Innerbarrel 3.5x15 and Schmidt outer lip 4,5x15"

Kerscher ventilated disc brakes all around. The rear wheels was bolt on, no fitment issues at all. The front need a bit of work on my 73. On a 74 they will not fit. I had to apply as much camber as absolutely possible and I rolled the fender lips approx 2cm. Kerscher coil over kit with Koni Yellow and Eibach springs. 22mm Kerscher anti-roll bar at the front but far more important: Kerscher 18mm rear anti-roll bar.

The car was, and still is, a dream to drive!

Thanks for the info!

Graku is a Dutch firm I just found out-but nothing for beetles anymore.
The chassis-setup is almost the same as I have, just with stock swaybars and stock brakes on a 1302S(imported from Sweden-with gasheater!).
I think I'll just get some tyres for my Ronal's and run them first. And when I'm done upgrading the brakes and suspension then look for a set of 70-80's vintage Graku(or BBS)-lookalike wheels.
What height tyres are you running 60-65series?

Thanks again,

Arnoud

Tires are 50 profiles. 195/50-15 at the front and 205/50-15 at the rear. Gearbox was standard but with a 0.82 4th gear from a bus box.

Looks great Nico! It took me forever to find euro tails here in the states but they look perfect on your ride.

Looks similar to Tiger's (from A-1) sedan. 9" tire on a 5" rim  Roll Eyes

Thanks!
It's the 2.5 that's in the dyno place right now, hope everything is ok after 10 years of being of the road.

I'm suprised by the kinds words of my late looker that ain't a typical cal-look car.
Maybe it's time to make a project page if it's appriated?

cheers!

Take a look at Cal look cars from the last 40 years and you'll see that it's finally quite a loose term  Wink
As long as it kick ass, is well done and got a nice attitude, you are good in my book, so please make a tread about it  Grin

I usually don't like late model T bars , but they look great in black . And the stance is perfect.
