Is that your white car, that is nice, very clean! Thanks for the info J-F.

Hey, That's my new car!!!!! Shocked

Hello,
I have been lurking here for a while, never posting, just learning. I ended up buying this car to save myself a ton of time and $$ building that exact car.  It is pretty nice, and I am still trying to decide what to do with the wheels.  I also have a set of knock off riviera's, and know a guy with a set of OG steel 4 lug sprint stars I might be able to get.  The rear needs to come down a bit, and I am getting some 205/65's for the rear.  I will refresh and then swap my 2054 out of my current car into the white one.  i am also trying to decide what to do about the one piece windows the previous owner attempted installing.  They look good, but I am after trouble free daily use.  I am shooting for a clean, fun easy daily driver.  No show winner, no exact 100% correct period car, just something I like and car beat on every day.

Brian

I think I remember your car with the beige 8s or I might be confusing it with Schwimmers 70

My car had the beige eights when I met McNew, before I knew Schwimmer. Seeing McNew's Squareback with his eight painted beige looked cool and different to me. I also painted the inside bumpers that color, along with the shocks and trunk wire cover. Bill's were more of a white hue, I think. Always dug that about our club cars... they weren't the norm.

Thanks guys for all the comments on my new car.  It will be a bit before I get to start finishing the car.  I made a deal with the wife that I would finish the remodel on her bathroom before I got to work on the new car.

As for the interior, it is all new and there, just in boxes.  The seats and covers are early lowbacks.  Door panels and seat covers look like this.

I need to install the full interior, pull the new but bone stock 1600sp, toss in my 2054, do some adjusting on lots of little items then drive it.  Still undecided on the wheels, or the tinted rear quarter windows.

When I start working on it next month I will start a thread of my own.

Brian

Hey Brian, Welcome! Very cool car you have there, and seemed pretty cheap! Love the empi 8 and the interior, this car has great potential! I'd even considered buying it if I hadn't my own 68 already Smiley

Please do make a topic about your car in the "in da werks" section and let us know what happens when you finish the new bathroom Wink

It's from our club member Dirk. He has built a 2110cc engine for it with FK-8, IDAs etc. Rancho gearbox, a real period correct car!
