Fixed it recently and it's much better now, the cylinders were glazed from my stupidity and it running pig rich at first. Valves were all reseated too as most were leaking. Seems way more lively and needs a mapping session so hopefully see a nice improvement on previous torque curve

Thanks Lee how's the twin coming on?

It's coming on. Just getting lots of pieces ready and once the weather is better will start prepping and painting the chassis and associated pieces. Decided to go short axle/spacer for rear and have all those bits required now.

Also hand finished/polished the JGE burners for it.

Can't find an og paint drivers door though.

Glad your engine is running well. Did you resist the temptation to repaint a few bits on your car?

Engine work took priority and I need to get sunroof bits before it goes for paint and headliner. Hopefully not long away.

My daily beater.
It is a 1973 Super that has been given lots of love.
Except for latley, I put a 1915 in it and things have fought me.
So it sits at the end of the driveway in time out...

So, does that mean that i wasn't all that wrong when i ran my 1970 T-1 1500 on 5,5" sprint stars, (rear) 4,5" (front), threw away the bumpers and the back seat, lowered it up front and mounted an EMPI leather rimmed steering wheel, EZR shifter, speedwell instruments, bulit a not too hot 1915 engine with a glaspack muffler and so on?

Well, i still got the "no no" from most of the crowd for running a "too new" car for the cal look style back in 1998! For the record, i was not born "back then" when the time was right, but after playing with VW's for a few years i knew what i liked, and i knew what was right for me, not everyone else. Dare peopel!

hear hear!

you wouldn't happen to have any pics of that '70 would you?

Here you go. It only took me 14 years

That looks spot on! My orange '70 looked very similar, just with a 1641 on twin quiet packs.

Currently I'm going commando. I got a few ideas on doing something with LED's within the headlights but I haven't finished working that out.
