Mayby you have to choose for 42x37 valves because the big carbs, and a 1 5/8 header..

i've already got the clutch lying at home, came with the pressure plate Smiley

i don't think i'm going for larger valves, i initially intended to go with stock size valved heads - as well as a stock clutch etc.
i've upgraded the plans enough for now  Wink

perhaps i'll throw in a stroker crank and larger heads  Wink

and thanks dem, i'll be looking forward to that!!

I've gotten my hands dirty on a few 1914's over the years, Died's is following in the footsteps of one of my very favorites....Sheep's.

I think the combination of 40 x 35 heads, with conservative ports, along with the healthy overlap of the K8 or the W130, and the potential of the 48's is going to make for one hell iof a screamer.

Hi Diederick,

don't worry buddy, that Engle 130 is going to give you that ragged edge you are looking for, yet, still be a streetable screamer. It isn't just the cam that makes or breaks a motor.   Wink

Nice!
This look like a post I will follow with a lot of attention. I was thinking of this kind of engine combo as well....or maybe with a 76 crank.

Idas are streetable if jetted correctly and with the correct venturi's

Like Jim said i would stick with the 40x35.5 heads Died

Power will be near 120 hp i assume.

With the heads that Sander suggested 42x37 and some other stuff i ran my drag 1914 with 160 hp Grin

Wow, I'll keep my fingers crossed Smiley
Your setup seems nice for me Smiley Hope I'll swap my dells for IDAs someday... But a little welding and a respray gotta go first Sad

A 1914cc of mine is just waiting for a first oil&filter change Cheesy It's damn cold now here in Poland and cannot force myself for that few minutes in the garage...
Hope my gearbox will last till the season. The diff seem to get a little loose.
