DAVE CORMACK '57 SUNROOF OVAL
Dave CORMACK is one of the greatest Old School oval around. I simply fell in love with the genuine Rader wheels combination along the Polar silver paint scheme. Note the extra cool oval convertible decklid! Dave was friendly enouogh to send me some words regarding the car and here they are...
"I originally built the car under the auspicies of VW Trends Magazine, where I worked for the past 5 years, it was the "VWT/SoCal Imports, Inc. Project: Mail-Order Resto-Custom" and, as such, I had to use some parts that I would have not considered otherwise. I had promised to show the display the car for a period of one year, in it's original configuration, and after that, I could do whatever I wanted. Well, soon after the one year had expired, I changed the Kadron carburetors to the 48 IDA's (by Art Thraen), installed the Kymco 1-1/2 inch heater box and merged exhaust, a set of Performance Technology Stage 6 heads (welded ported, polished, re-worked combustion chambers), 8-1/2 to 1 compression, a full MSD ignition, a 2 inch narrowed beam, So Cal Imports disc brakes, and the original Empi Rader wheels, that I had fully polished for a different look. The car, in it's original configuration, can be seen in the Member's Section of www.Cal-Look.com, with the Kadrons, polished Empi 5 spokes, Bugpack header and dual mufflers."

BEN'S DIRTY PRINCESS...
Ben is a cool inspired German guy who is owner and builder of this Awesome bug... A real Shitbox or what... Ben recently found a nickname : Dirty Princess. I love this name, the stance of the car, owner humor (note the naked girls on the inside roof...). Without a doubt, one of the greatest inspired european car to hit the roads for a long time.
This car shows another time that you really don't have to spend high $$$ in a bright paintjob to be the king... Just follow some well established rules and that's all you really need... Also note that this bug is a late model...
I have not much details about the car specs, but are specs really important here... I don't think so. For me, this VW is the very first of a new spirit, so Ben, I salute you! And may your bug inspire more and more VW out there...
Just some more words regarding the rims (Gasburners at rear and ERCO at front) and the purple paint (Tribute to D.D.S.).
